What is Accident and Injury Medical Photography?

Personal injury photography of scars, bruising, burns and cuts for legal and litigation purposes should be an accurate representation of the injury and should not be retouched.

They should only be taken by professional photographers experienced in clinical and medical photography.

Where is the studio located?

Our studio are conveniently located in Camden London NW1, a few minutes from Kings Cross, Euston and St Pancras. The nearest tube stations are Camden and Mornington Crescent, both on the Northern Line.

Who are you?

The team at our London studios work under the direction of our chief photographer with over 35 years of experience. He gained a BSC (Hons) in Scientific Photography at Westminster University (formally the Polytechnic of Central London) specialising in holographic imaging, Xray photography and medical illustration.

He then went on to work for the Royal Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal London as a medical photographer before setting up his own business.

Who are your clients?

We offer a personal injury and medico legal photography and video services for the public sector, NHS, London police forces, commercial and private clients clients.

Our photos are used for solicitors reports, work place accidents, insurance claims and compensation claims

The Process

What will the photographer ask me to do?

The photographer will confirm with you the instructions sent by your legal team. You may need to remove makeup, jewellery and clothing.

The photographer will take you through a guided photo shoot, showing you how to sit and stand in order to produce the best anatomically correct images.

Flash lighting is used to illuminate the injury or condition. Please let us know in advance if you have a medical condition such as epilepsy which precludes the use of flash so that we can make other arrangements.

Can you visit me at home or in the hospital?

If you have mobility issues and cannot come to our London Studios we will come to you. The cost is £350 for a home or hospital visit. This is generally inclusive of all costs within the Greater London areas.

Do you photograph teeth?

Dental photography is one of our specialties. We used specialist close up macro lenses combined with on camera LED modeling lights to achieve the best results possible.

In some cases, it may be neccessary to use mirrors and retractors to achieve the desired result.

Can I get copies of the photographs?

We provide 3 sets of A4 prints plus a high resolution data disc containing the photos. These are normally be sent to your solicitors

Video Services

Do you transfer Mobile Phone Video?

Our video transfer service is used by police forces and solicitors to transfer mobile phone video footage into a format for use as evidence in legal proceedings.

Custody Suite Video Transfer?

We are frequently asked by police and legal teams to make copies of custody suite footage for use as evidence in court.
